Best Baseball Player from Each Team pt2- Seattle Mariners

Next up is The Seattle Mariners and their team is a tough one. The two players who seems like the best players on the Mariners are Daniel Vogelbach and Dee Gordon. Daniel hits a ton of home runs but a terrible batting average and is slow. The one big thing Daniel has, is that he was an All Star in 2019. Dee Gordon on the other hand, has already been an All Star in previous seasons, hits for average, and is super fast. The one thing Dee Gordon doesn’t do is hit for power. I’ve got to say I think it is Dee Gordon. The one big thing it comes down to is fielding, and Dee Gordon is very good in the field. Dee Gordon can play multiple positions including Shortstop, Second base, and all Outfield positions. Even if fielding didn’t matter Dee Gordon in previous years has been in the MVP conversation, so Daniel still wouldn’t have won. Daniel had a .208 batting average which is terrible and a slugging percentage at .439. On the other hand, Gordon had a .275 batting average and a .359 slugging percentage.

Best Baseball Player from each team Part 1- Houston Astros

BASEBALL HAIKU

Baseball is the bomb

Strikeouts, homers, walks, and steals

I’m a fan for life

Starting off with the Houston Astros, the best player from that team is Alex Bregman. In 2019, he is getting close to becoming the AL MVP. In the regular season, he has a batting average at .296 and a slugging percentage at .592. He is also really young so he has a lot of years to play. Last year he finished 5th in the MVP race, but arguably could’ve finished higher. His fielding is also amazing to with a fielding percentage at .962 and probably would’ve got a gold glove if Matt Chapman wasn’t so good. I don’t think Jose Altuve is the best on the Astros because all ‘Tuve does is hit singles while Bregman hits singles, homers, and gets a lot of RBI’s. Alex Bregman has 41 homeruns, 112 RBI’s, and 164 hits in 2019, and Altuve only had 31 homeruns, 74 RBI’s, and 149 hits in 2019.
